i am trying to put tv shows on dvd's to watch later and then finally delete them.

i know there has to be an easier way to do what i am doing so i am hoping someone out there will tell me...

this is what i am doing.

i am taking them off of replay and then on the hard drive.

i am then using ulead dvd movie factory 3.0. i am then making a dvd to a folder (bigger then the real one) i think it was 8.0 gig. i then use dvd shrink to put on a dvd5. it sorta worked, but i didnt have any sound. i think i may have tried to make it TOO large. what is the amount to use in dvd factory 9? 8.?

are there any ways to do this in one step instead of waiting for dvd factory and then shrink?

i hope this makes sense...

thanks

I'm not sure but you probably loaded just the video folder to Shrink and not the full DVD folder with the audio folder and the video folder together! Could this be your problem?

the tv shows..... is this coming from a Tivo or a VCR? or are you recording live TV from the computer and then transfering from your hard drive to a DVD? I used to use Dazzel Hollywood Bridge to capture video from my Tivo or VCR and then use MySonic to transfer to DVD. It was ok..... but took a long time to do. Right now I like the TV shows that are already on DVD and just back up the DVD! So I can't really help you out with a ONE STEP program that will solve your prob. sorry.

i am actually using dvarchive for replay tv. (really geeky, but they are quilting shows) i am then using mpg-vcr to take out the commercials and then burning them onto dvd. make sense? the last time i tried to do this i put 18 shows on it and only 5 showed up.

i think i am going back to putting on a smaller amount. it worked, but i though instead of only 7-10 shows i could double it and use less dvds.

i am going to try 1 more time,

thanks
