Aaaaargggghhhh....Now I am getting the splitting to work... but, it is dropping one or two chapters between the split. I made sure I adjusted the number of chapters in both video_ts files and did the VTS sectors. I am close.... I got the split to work okay on KPAX.
What am I missing or goofing?????

Hello mscogna, I have somewhat the same problem with splitting a dual layer DVD into 2 DVD-R's, would you e-mail me or post how you did it, I can get the first disc but what dummy vod's to put in the second video_ts folder, cause ifoedit after VTS sectors will not build the new pointers. Any help will be welcome...

I have been basically following this procedure

I am only keeping the movie.... no menus or any extras. I am splitting on a full chapter, not a cell.

VIDEO_TS.VOB, VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP must be present on both discs. Also, whatever your movie VOB is (01,02,03...), VTS_xx_0.VOB must be copied to both discs also...because it will be missing after the split. Read the guide carefully if you are not already using it. I goofed the first few times trying it (thank god for RW's), but I am having very little problem now.

I am trying to rip the same DVD can you send me the proceedure step by step I cant get it to work for the life of me and I am readding the same doc from doom9

Hi all! Got an interesting one for ya?? If anyone else knows about this, please chime in!

I am trying to split Ali, and after ripping, I follow the guides, and open the VTS_01.IFO in Ifoedit. I then choose the VOB Extras, and click to split DVDR's, then the menu comes up to pick the cell or chapter, after doing that, I click "split" and Ifoedit crashes...done it over and over....any clues???

In trying another method, it came back with and error, and said that the file might be "write protected"??? Anyone know anything about that?

Or...is there something else I can try to split it??
