Got a question bout my comp.
This is kinda weird, but I was playing ea need for speed midnight editon for bout a hr. Then I shut it down and went over to doom 3. Doom was screwing up horribly. It looked as if I was getting an tv program on anteena. The picture was breaking up and what not. I quit back to the dektop and check temps....I was at 75 c for gpu and 45 c for cpu. So I decided to reboot and then it was fine. This is a 6800gt bfg pci x card oc edition. Any ideas if it was the heat or soemthing else? They do say gpu degradation dont hit till like a 120 c or something, but it happened sooner.
Sometimes doom will screw up to. I could play doom fine, but then when I click back to the desktop the desktop will be bright as hell like someone turned the bright all the way up. I have to reboot to fix that too. The only thing I can think of is im using a supermatch monitor that originally came with a ibm comp in 95 and I cant find a driver to run it. So is that a problem or heat? Any ideas on how to cool it off? I got 2 case fans one in from front and one out on the back.....a side fan sucking out by the cpu...the cpu, gpu, northbridge, and psu fan. The only other thing that bothers me is Im using a antec psu with samrt fan and I never see the fan for it go past 1000 rpm. ANy way to turn it up? :>
