I built a pc with athlon 3200+, 1.5 gigs of ram (3*512), 250gig HDD SATA, DVD-R DL drive, and a 350 Watt PSU, and a Radeon X850 XT 256MB GDDR3.

My CPU was always running on the hot side(60+ celcius). Initially i had a 6600gt gfx card and it was working fine. Then i upgraded to the Radeon listed above...Ran a few F.E.A.R. stress tests and my PC shut off and now it wont go back on. Is the problem the Power Supply? From what I've seen 350 Watts isn't sufficient for this setup so thats what i think the problem is. Is there any other possible reason? If it is the PSU, will replacing it be enough or did i mess up the mobo or cpu possibly?

PS. If I unplugg the PC and plug it back and hit the power button, I see the computer go on for a split second(neon lights go on real quick) but shuts off right away.

Any help will be appreciated.

if your pc still works with your old grfx card in then Id try using a higher powered PSU like a 550w.

Otherwise id say its possible that youve fried your processor as if the light come on your mobo should be ok

If it does still work id think about investing in a better cooler as 60 degrees is a little warm

Studio Comp: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ OC ~ 2.35GHz runs at 40 celcius idle and 48 under stress (aerocool GT1000 really works!), Asrock K7VT4A , 1024MB Dual Channel DDR 400, MSI Nvidia FX5200 128MB OC ~ 600MHz mem 350MHz core,80GB SATA + 200GB SATA + 120GB IDE, 7.1 Channel Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX sound and midi interface. 19" Sony SDM-HS95 TFT monitor - sweeet
Comp2: AMD Sempron 2400+ OC ~ 2.0GHz (Stable), Asrock K7S41GX, 512MB DDR 333, Onboard Graphics, 40GB Maxtor IDE

set of monitors on the way soon :P
Google is your friend...
WorkComp: LAPTOP, intel celeron D 2.4GHz, 256MB DDR, 20GB hd. NO SCREEN IT WAS SAWN OFF :S (bag of crap)

try to jump the bios jumpers.clear cmos then put back...probably screwed the bios up....so clear it and try to restart....the jumper is usally next to the battery...there will be three prongs and two of them will have a jumper cap on them...remove the jumper cap and place on the open prong and the one next to it...then put back to the oringinal and then restart.go in bios and reconfig if you have too.if not ,your good to go...peace
