Hi, I had my mouse working the other day. I decided to get a bigger hard drive for my computer. After reformatting the hard drive, I installed Windows XP Pro. Now, My mouse doesn't work. It shows the cursor on the screen, but It wont move. I got into device manager using the keyboard, but no mouse is even shown. I have an older Pentium 3 computer. I built it myself. I use form cards on my motherboard. The mouse port along with 2 usb ports and some other IRA or something like that is what is on the form card (which can be found at http://www.pccables.com/cgi-bin/orders6.cgi?action=Showitem&partn...).
I havent messed with it much, but it does seem to work. I use a wireless adapter to gain connection to my router and internet. That plugs into one of the USB ports on the card. It also doesn't light up anymore, but whenever I plug it in and watch it as im plugging it in, it will flash 3 times then stop. I can repeat that process and watch it light up, so I asume the card is still working. Everything else seems to work too. I also tried putting the old hard drive back in, but it still wont work. Any ideas. It really frusterating.
