I have some avi files, Divx compressed, that have dual audio tracks: Spanish and English.

When I load the file onto TMPGEnc, be it Plus or 3.0 Xpress, I get to see the Divx logo warning the file has dual audio tracks. But I can't find a way in those programs to keep both audio tracks or allow me to choose which I want.

Perhaps those are not the programs I should be using. But I am getting out of options, as Canopus Procoder 1.5 (which should be my first option) even refuses to load these files.

Which is the trick to get this going?

Hi there,

I've never heard or seen an .AVI with dual sound track :)

Give VSO DivXtoDVD 2 (Shareware) a try.

I might be able to convert both audio tracks on your DVD.

My 2 cents...

Neither did I. But some of these old films files I am interested in seem to come with two audio options.

I am sorry to say it did not. It provides just one of the audio channels (Spanish), and the setup does not seem to "see" there are two audio channels to pick from.

And of course there are two: right now I am watching one of those films with VLS. With a great English spoken track.

Hi again,

I got my hand on such a file, and provided the file to the VSO Developpers.

The next major release of DivxToDVD will support Dual (or more) Audio Channels.

The new release should be coming out soon, Dec 2005 or Jan 2006 (I hope), so keep your eyes open !

It still in Alpha Stage in the VSO Head Quarters :)
