i can t open alot of programs
when i try using system restore an error message apears "system restore is not able to protect your comput" i cant open email i cant create
i cant open alot of programs and i dont have audio

same thing happened to me years ago, and in my case my hard drive was dying. It was slowly developing more and more bad sectors, in turn causing more and more programs to stop working. Run window's disk check to see the status of your HD.

do a thorough scandisk as nothing mentioned about using restore disk. goto "my computer" to your c:drive & right click it. a menu comes up & left click "properties" & goto "tools". there are 2 boxes unchecked so check mark them & windows says need to restart windows so can scandisk the drive. restart windows to let it do it's job. what anti-virus & anti-spyware programs are you using??

i have norton antivirus but it wont open and ad-watch, etrustpest patrolonly te spyware program work and i already scan them but still wont work o forgot to mention to start explorer it take a lot of time

what part did you do & did you try safemode? can also do system restore in safemode.

yeah my computer works worst in safe mode i can't do system restore there i check the dicsk how u told me and scanned my compute with all those programs u send me is still doing the same thing

no she wont let me save my stuff there and her computer is really slow imagine how slow it will be after i put my stuff

the reason i was asking about another computer was to safe any info you want temporarily, put your drive back into your computer so can use the restore disk than put drive back into mom's to get your info back put drive back into your computer. did that on a customer's computer when upgrading to xp went bad.
