Good Day,

I have this question: I have 2 burners installed: BENQ DW1620 on MASTER & PIONEER 110D converted in A10XLA on Slave. Can I burn with whichever drive without worring about the output ? Also, Can I make 2 backup at the same time with both drive without worring about the output ?

Thanks,
Dan

The only way to find out is to try it. I don't know why you would have a problem, if XP and your burning software, recognize both drives.

Make sure that the firmware on both, is up to date.

make certain your free resources are high when burning to both drives at once.

I think you'll get better results if they're on different IDE channels. If you have a RAID card, it would be best to have each burner & the HD on separate channels.

I just recently updated my burner from an ancient BTC to 2 Benq 1640's. Like DigitalSk, I have one as master and the other as slave; however, I'm only able to burn dvd's and games on the "slave" burner. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Both burners are currently on the secondary drive. I have WDC WD200EB-11CSFO on the primary drive. Does anyone know what that "WDC" is, if I need it or how I can get rid of it?

Thanks in advance!

Would I need to keep the WDC drive on the primary channel since it is an external hard drive?

if the wdc is on the primary than it is an internal ide drive not external.
