You can also try 21 day trial versions of pay programs AnyDVD which is a driver that breaks encryption and CloneDVD which will transcode/compress and burn your movie. Available from http://www.slysoft.com.

I've had 100's of excellent results with DVD Decrypter for ripping, DVD2One for compressing, and Nero for burning.
