I am currently using bitlord1.1, and I have tried to download a couple of files, i got some real good speeds in excess of 200kbs at times however I was unable to complete any of them,
In the summary window I I have connecting seeds 0(max possible O), I thinks this the reason I can't complete. I had 97.7 and 99.6 complete I don't think I will be able to get any seeds for any of the files, can anyone explain and help pls.
bigclaude the reason you can not complete your download is that there are no seeds ,a seed is someone who has the complete copy of the file ,if bitlord has dht enable that and you may complete your download but if you dont finish in the next 24 hrs i would forget about i.
when you download a torrent you need at least one seed the more the better .

thanks, I understand that a seed is a complete file , however do you think that bitlord has something preventing me from connecting to seeds or am I just that unlucky to pick files all the time that does not have seeds. because every torrent I download in bit comet have seeds but I do not like to use it becease it is too slow. that is the reason I use bitlord.
when you go to download a torrent it will say how many peers there are now check to see that there is at least one seed (more the better) but if you are having problems completing every torrent using bitlord then maybe it is a good idea to use bitcomet ,
the speed the you download really is not that important ,the most important thing is that you complete the download .
there should be no reason why you cant connect to seeds if you have your ports open and you are "connectable".
have you ever tried Azureus ? that will tell you if you will be able to complete your download or not

if your upload is 30K and you are seeding at that speed there is nothing you can do except change service providers and find one that gives you a higher upload speed ,and on a side note change to utorrent as it is much better at making the most of your upload speed ,

but when you open it, it cancels straight away because there's no seeders!

as far as i know the only way to seed a torrent is to download it but i cant download it coz theres no seeders!!! you see what i mean?
i have got the same problem as bigclaude ive been using torrents 4 ages but i cannot seem 2 connect to any seeds getting a good connection with pleanty of seeds but it only connects to peers and i cant finish of download
