Hey guys, I'd really be grateful if someone could help me with setting up Azureus to get maximum download speeeds. Mine are really dirt slow. Here's my setup:
*I have Windows XP, Service Pack 2
*Firewall is OFF
*I have an NAT
*I use a D-Link DI-514 router
*I have ports 50000-50010, and 6969 forwarded
*Im on a cable connection with a 768/kbps max upload
*Using Azureus version 2.3.0.6
Here are my settings in Azureus under "options" and then "connection":
*Incoming TCP/UDP Listen Port = 50000
*Default For Permitted Sources For Peer Connections = All 4 boxes are checked
*Max Simultaneus Outbound Connection Attempts = 10
*Bind To Local IP Adress = that box is blank
*Proxy Options is NOT enabled
*Enable Proxying Of Peer Connections (Outbound Connections Only) is NOT enabled
*Select The Default Permitted Networks For Peer-Peer Data Transmission = All 4 boxes are checked
*Advanced Network Settings is NOT enabled
My settings under "options" and then "transfer" are:
*KB/s Max Global Upload Speed = 85
*The box below that marked alternate rate when only seeding = Box is checked and is 1
*KB/s Max Global Download Speed = 300
*Default Max Upload Slots Per Torrent = 5
*Maximum Number Of Connections Per Torrent = 5
*Maximum Number Of Connections Globally = 5
*Box labeled Allow Multiple Connections From TheSame IP is checked
*Box labeled Prioritize First And Last Pieces Of File is NOT checked
*Ignore Peeres With These Data Ports = blank
OK, so that's my setup. Does anyone know how I should configure all this to get better download speeds. Mine are currently really slow, even when there are a ton of peers and seeds. My computer doesnt seem to connect to very many of them even when they are there. The help would be VERY MUCH appreciated!
