I have a store bought computer, it's an intel chip. I want to buy an Asus A8V. Will this work? I have heard that you can't switch around mobos like that and there is a chance of it not working. And will it be OK to switch from Intel and AMD?

can switch boards but has to have amd cpu with that asus motherboard.

that has to do with xp installed on your hd when switching the boards around but there are ways usually around that problem.
