HELP with Nero Photoshow Deluxe 4

Boy am I having problems!!! I am so frustrated with this program right now. I would appreciate any help I can get. I used to think I was somewhat computer literate before tonight. Anyhow, I have Nero Photoshow Deluxe 4 downloaded and installed on both of my laptop and my desktop. I was hoping I would be able to at least create a DVD on one of them and haven't had any luck on either. I am trying to make a home video for some friends for the holidays. I am making a slideshow to music by burning it to a DVD-R. I have a Combo DVD RW burner on both laptop and desktop so that shouldn't be the problem. Anyhow here are the errors I am getting:

1. On the laptop - when it says to put a blank disc in I have tried several blank DVD-R Memorex DVD's and everytime I put one in it says that "photoshow is having trouble reading the disc I inserted" then I can't get past that point! I know my DVD rom plays DVD's so I don't know why it wouldn't work with Nero.

2. On my desktop, I get further before I get an error. I get to the point passed preparing photos before I get an error. It gets to the point of accessing the music. Then I get a Director's error - script error and it asks me if I want to continue. If I say yes it just keeps asking me. If I say no, then it says movie is aborted and goes back to the nero main menu. It starts out burning at 30 minutes or so and gets all the way until it has 9 minutes left on it before it does this so it is so frustrating.

Please let me know on both where to start... any suggestions or anything would help!

I am having the same problem and have supmitted a requet to the company, but have not gotten any response - Have you gotten help or resolved the problem?

Well...

1. My laptop doesn't have a dvd burner.

2. I found if I put the settings to low quality when burning the DVD it worked. But, then I went to another photoshow last night and had the same problem again even with low settings!

Any ideas on how we can get this resolved? Nero is HORRIBLE at responding!

We're also having problems with Nero PhotoShow 4.5....It works fine up to actually burning the DVD. It will process the pictures, process the audio, merge the audio and pictures then go to the burn phase....

Then it seems as though it is working...until the DVD drive pops open and an error message pops up which shuts down the entire program. We have loaded this program on two computers at our house and even tried to burn their sample photoshow with no luck.

We have had two responses back from Nero that were of no help. They even gave us a different version along with someone else's user name and product key code....this didn't work as well.

My husband is ready to take it back to circuit city and ask for a refund considering even Nero couldn't help us.

If anyone finds any good suggestions post it here.
