Does anyone here have 1 of these in their computer...does it make a big difference..here's the specs on my computer..i have 1.6ghz intel pentium 4 processor..768 mb ram...80gb hard drive..and a 64mb NVIDIA Geforce2 MX400 video card...also i'm going to upgrade the video card but i use my copmuter for dvd burning and the encoding process goes too slow for me ...so i'm looking to speed things up..any help would be appreciated.

hey well i dont know too much about computers but make sure your not running any other programs while your burning your dvd's. it also may have to do with the speed of your dvd drive.. you could also think about upgrading your processor . a 1.6 isnt that bad but it would make a differnce in speed on applications. well good luck

ok all i have is a 1.5Ghz p4 with 512 meg of ram i did throw a usb 2.0 pci card into my pc to speed things up i have a external plextor 716uf and i can encode in like 30 mins with 1clickdvdcopy and burn in like 7 to 10 mins but that is still a little slow for me so i am goin to upgrade everything i have my new system built just wanting for my processor

amd 64 4000+ 90nm reserve
1 gig ram
wd sata 2 hdd

should be up and burning dvds in less than 15mins

I have no personal experience with a dual core processor but I'm doing some research myself prior to purchasing a Dell XPS 400(2.8GHz Intel Pentium dual core). Here are 2 sites that I find very trustworthy. It's a lot of reading but it's useful.
