does anyone have a problem connecting to trackers out there? whenever i click on a torrent link and open it in whatever d/l client i use it always times out or gives me HTTP error. This happens to me on private and public trackers. any idea how to fix it. i have high speed cable no router, no firewall and am connected via ethernet

these are my connection speed results:

:::.. Download Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 2878 Kbps about 2.9 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 351 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (server2)
Test Time:: Mon Dec 5 01:41:34 EST 2005
Bottom Line:: 51X faster than 56K 1MB download in 2.92 sec
Diagnosis: 90% + Okay : running at 99.76 % of your hosts average (rogers.com)

If anyone knows what my problem might be Please Please Please help!

Most likely a firewall problem...

Which firewall(s) are you using?

Do you have a router?

Does your cable modem have a built in firewall?

no firewall, no router but im not to sure about a built in firewall? but the point is i never had 1 before and this problem just occured only recently. im not sure what caused it becuase i have never had a problem connecting a tracker before. and its not just the connecting to trackers. when i am downloading in limewire or revconnect my downloads start fast but die down to below 1kb in a matter of seconds. could it be that i have been capped by my isp?(though i dont think so becuase i know i have downloaded alot more in samller periods of time).
