Hey guys I am REALLY confused!
I have a Gigabyte K8NS-939 Ultra
(Specs are at http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/MotherBoard/Products/Products_Spec_GA...
and according to that I have 5 PCI slots. Well, I am assuming this is different then PCI-Express. I ask this because I noticed 99% of Graphics cards are PCI-Express and not PCI.
Is their any known way to upgrade to PCI-Express (for graphics card reasons) or do I just need to purchase a new Mobo for Christmas?

Peace,

Pop Smith

EDIT (by Pop_Smith): I was looking here http://www.gen-x-pc.com/pci_basic.htm and it seems like (from the pictures they have on the PCI slots that mine is a x16 slot (it looks the same). I will look around (maybe find my Manual!) and see if I can figure it out. Please reply anyway if you know the answer.

Thanks (again!)

According to the 1st link posted your board is AGP which means that a PCI-E card wont work on your current board.

PCI Express is the replacement for AGP and has absoloutlet nothing to do with PCI its a completely different connection. If you want a PCI-Express Graphics card youll ahve to get a new mobo because yours is an AGP one

pci/e slot looks somewhat like an agp slot but longer & not compatible with pci at all.
