Yes, there is a difference in regions also. Don't know the right numbers, but the first 2 xx xx is NOT the ones you will be looking for (those are unique for each game).

Here is guide on how to patch with winDIP. BTW The XX XX can be filled in with numbers from 1-9 and letters from A-F

How to Patch Games With WINDIP

WinDIP 1.7

If you dont have the disc ID you need to search the afterdawn forums.

The disc Id your patching the game must be a valid disc id.

Step 1.) Open WinDIP and "Select Image File" (the game .iso or what ever other format you have it in).

Step 2) After That, Click Scan File. This Will Scan The .Iso or whatever the file is for DNA Files. Then Click Verify Version.

Step 3) Then You Must enter the Disc ID to the Game and Hit Patch. Then Hit OK Then Burn with DVD Decrypter.

You have now patched the DNA ID Code and you can play online with your backup

if the game is NTSC-j and you put in the correct dnas ID then yes it should work (although I keep hearing that japanese have to pay to play ps2 online). if the game is NTSC u/c (I'm guessing this is the north american standard) then no it won't work for online play on your japanese console, it'll give you a dnas error -833.

From the DNA Code. Why don;t you just get the DNA code straight from the japanese real copy

It's my understanding that if someone has a single DNAS game, they can use that code with ALL their backups. Is that true, or do I need to put in a different ID on each game?

OK, more than a few ppl say that even a legit DNA$ will not let someone play SOCOM 3 online. What's the deal? Is there some kind of additional server check that $ony uses to detect if someone is playing the original disc? I know that an online server could detect modchips, but what about Swapmagic?
