Hi, I just recently got High Speed internet via a cable connection and modem and the speed is incredible but for some reason I keep losing my connection. I had DSL before and never had this problem. Can someone help me figure out what's wrong? Thanks...........
Yes, everything woks fine until I start Azureus then I lose my connection. It works for a while at a pretty high speed(I've seen it hit 300kb/s) but eventually I lose my internet connection. I don't use a router just cable to the motem then to my PC via ethernet.
Silly question, but u have the newest version of Azureus, with any updates it tells u to D/L?. It could be ur isp or it could be that ur pc cant handle Azureus. Maybe try utorren wich is much smaller than Azureus. This might work, it wont hurt to try ;-D
the reason for this is a lot of isp's cut the connection when using p2p programs and it's not common now for isp's to throw people off there service .
now im not trying to scare you this prob isnt your problem but we can narrow it down , i suspect though that you need to uninstall Azureus and reinstall the latest version and configure it , monitor it for a few hours a see how you get on
My ISP is Comcast, I use an older version of Azureus because that's what I had the best results with when I had DSL. I know my PC can handle Azureus because I used it constantly before I switched over to a cable signal. I guess I'll try a newer version and see what happens. This is just strange, I tried downloading something with Kazaa and everything was fine so I'm not sure if it's my ISP?
