hi i have just bought a new mobo, MSI 951G neo2. i have actually installed it and it is running but there is some weird things.

1st, the computer turn on by itself after shuting down.(izzit due to LAN?)

2nd, the most crucial makes my head to blow. it has one primary ide and other two ide secondary and third respectively. this 2nd and 3rd is somewhat called RAID supported. I have a HDD that is IDE-133 while two cd-roms to install.the problem is cannot install my hdd to primary ide and my roms to secondary ide. i can only install my hdd with one cd-rom using pimary setting on hdd and secondary on rom (jumpers)at the primary ide connection on the mobo. But the weird thing is after that i can install my the other cd-rom to the secondary ide!!!!. wat the hell is that?. is there a way to disable the raid function. i am getting some message during start up that connection is non-raid, but it boots up.if i change any ide connections on the roms or hdd to primary or secondary ide, i get this error. pre-boot error and the comp fails to start up. someone please help me. i cannot understand this thing,

You must have done a typo --- your Micro-Star motherboard is a 915G Neo2 --- !!

Go into bios on bootup before windows loads. Not familiar with your particular board, but usually under "Chipset" or something like that, there is a setting to enable RAID controller. Disable that. Look around in your bios some more, there should be a setting to disable "wake on LAN"

o.k, after i tried something at last it worked. o.k this is what i did,. i tried diabling the ide raid, but as before the whole ide raid did not function. later i tried something with LAN but the auto boot up still persisted. so i just took off the LAN cable and everything was fine. now the thing that changed my ability to connect my roms to my second ide is by setting usage of PATA only and disabling SATA. i did not see any rasional in here but it worked. but i have another problem. in my cmos i see that the device connected to the ide is only my HDD and when i start windows and take a look at device manager, the roms are connected through scsi i don't know why is that, does that mean i cannot boot up through my cd-rom if i need or do i have to install a patch if i wanted to use the writer?. please help. thanks in advance
