Do they work together the same way that burning DVD 5 works or is another prog needed to burn larger files?

in short yes it should but you would need a dual layer writer

obviously, and thank you. but what do you mean by "in short" ? Ive been ripping games for about 3 years now and its pretty straight forward, rip the data then burn the data.

Coyping PS2 single and double layer games is done the same. of course if its a double layer PS2 game you would need a Double layer disc. Keep in mind that if you use DL disc you need a mod chip that suports DL disc. Swap magic does not suport DL disc. So if swap magic is how you load your games you wont bebale to use DL media.

wow, some chips dont support DL DVDs? Interesting, do you know whether or not the DMS3 supports DL? (crosses fingers)

I would have no clue if all or if it is only with some MODchips. I guess you would have to find a forum or go to a site that suports your Chip and see if the specs tells you if its DL compatible or not.
