Hello,
I would like to know ,if and when you have to clean a dvd,burner and what do you have to do to get this done. Is there some kind of disc for this or what.I have noticed at Wal-mart a cleaning thing for laser dvd`s is that all you need ,or is there a different way?

depends if a rom drive for a tower or a laptop style drive. use a cd/dvd cleaner disk on tower type drives & use a q-tip & isopropyl alcohol for the laptop style drives.

Sorry took so long to answer, I have both . A laptop and Tower.I have been burning with my Laptop here in Fl, and don`t understand what you mean ,with cleaning the laptop,A Q-tip and alcohol.I am useing a External LG 5163 burner to make my burns with and not the laptop.I have it hooked to laptop.Do I clean like a Tower and use the cd-dvd disc to clean. Can I get this stuff at Wal-mart or a computer shop?

can get the cd/dvd disk cleaner at walmart or any good computer store.
