i know has been done a million times, but i am reeeallly stuck, and any help would be awesome. I'm sure you're all tired of messages like this, so im sorry.
ive been using bittorent for a while. Bitcomet to be exact. and azeurus, and such.
point being, i have:

high speed cable (anywhere from 3 to 6 mbit connection)
no router
norton antivirus and firewall

ive been using bitcomet for a while, and it was great. anywhere from 30kb/s to 500kbs/s download speed. i always upload at 79k. that works best for me. and i always seed. my share ratio is great.

but 2 days ago it went down drastically. i didnt do ANYTHING. it just slowed down by itself.

so now i'm downloading at 4kbs/s and uploading at 8kbs/s.

im downloading a 26 gig file, so 4k a sec is useless to me. By the time i get done no one will be sharing anymore.

ive read all sorts of threads about this, and no one seems to know what it is. ive tried all kinds of ports. Its not the ports. I called my ISP, and they said they're not limiting any ports or anything like that. I took a speed test on the net, and its better than average.

i dont understand it. im seeing other users downloading at 200k, and im kicking myself, i feel so stupid.

can anyone help?

Try going to Nortan Anti Virus and Press FireWall and press configure. And Alow bit comet,if its not alreaddy alowed, Also check your system, diagnose your system and see if theres any bad files or something

or subscribe to a new newsgroup (if you can afford it)...you wont look back,or think about using torrents ever again

I have to agree with Hursty. You need to give newsgroups a try. I'm able to get an entire game in about 45 minutes!
