till date i have succesfully made 2 back up copies on 4x discs ( one was ritek GO5 the other was tuff disc).

my problem is that when i try to copy games on DVD+R 8x speed, dvd decrypter gives an I/O error around 35% , sometimes around 55%. i must admit the dvd+r were crappy media they were called maxim. cud this be the reason? but it is strange since that i managed to copy it on to tuff disc which is really crap.

my dvd-rw is compatible with +r discs with write speed upto 16x.

any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

crappy discs is probably the problem. Are you burning at 8x?

i would really use better media for one.
I would also suggest -R rather than +R but that is just
my preference. I have had excellent luck with -R and not much luck
with +R at all.
