I bought a ps2 duo 2 se mod chip and had it professionaly installed. I've been try8ing to burn games for a while now and nothing seems to work. I downloaded some games and tried to burn them with nero or alchohol 120%. Nothing works. I also tried to rent a game at a videostore and make a direct copy, it didnt work either. The poeple at the store told me to burn using either Princo, Ritek, Ridata, or Verbatim -R. They otlds me that anything else would ruin my lense. When i put a gamei n that I tried to burn i get an orange screen on my ps2 that tells me to insert a disk formatted for the ps2. My friend has the swap magik mod chip, and he lent me a game that worked on his system (maxell +R) and that worked fine.

Can anyone give some ideas on what to do or a guide because maybe im not doing it right. All the games that I download are from isohunt.com and are NTSC. Thx in advance for the help.

when you burn the games, you are burning iso files yes?

+r worked for you, try burning the image to a + and see how that goes.
maxell + r try. get your friend to test some of your games to to tell exacly where the problem lies, is it the media or the chip?

i gave my friend the games that i burnt that didn't work for me, and they worked perfectly for him. The place that modded my ps2 told me not to use a +r because they claim that it will burn my lense.

Could there be a problem with the chip even though it plays his games perfectly but it doesn't even play mine?

got the same chip ... got to go through hell just to get a game to start ... i'd only use Verbatim DVD-R or Ritadek, everything doesnt want to work ... but yea, its a bitch to work with

so how did u end up getting the games to start, because mine aren't recognized by as being valid ps2 games?

some guys work perfectly fine others take some work ... like i'll put the game in the PS2 and unplug the system let it sit for 15-30 seconds plug it back in then press the reset button and that works ... another way is to eject the game, turn the system off through the back button and turn it back on then press the eject button to put the game back in ...

sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. my suggestion it to get a new chip ... only reason i keep it is because i only play a few games
