I recently received a computer with Sonic RecordNow, and have tried using it with some success. I can make an exact copy of a CD with not trouble, but when I try to burn individual tracks from different CDs, I keep getting the message "Insert disc in drive" when I've already done so. Any suggestions?

so you are trying to burn vairous tracks from multiple CDs to onto one audio CD? Well I'm not sure about Sonic RecordNow, but there are definately other softwares out there that can do the job, probably much better as well.

Download EAC (exact audio copy). It is free and hands down the best ripper out there. Extract the tracks you want to uncompressed WAVE files, then you can use any burning app like Nero to create an audio CD, then just drag your audio files to the burn window, and burn away. Note that you can also burn CDs with EAC, but have never tried it.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

With Nero and Foobar 2000 you can make gapless audio cd's from MP3's. Usefull for mix and live albums.

I would really recommend using EAC as mentioned above, its much better than WMP. but as long as you get it working you have many different options of what programs to use, but you may as well use the best ones while you're at it.
