Can someone run me through backing up GT4 step by step to load with Swap Magic? I have read several guides and been unable to back this game up. I believe I have all the tools needed. Any help would be appreciated.
have try very hard in last week to do a copy of the gt4.I follow the orders reading meny tutorials help me to understain the methode of how to crack this game.I think there is something doing with the
GT4L1.VOL.AND....READ CAREFUL MY SOLUTION.WHEN USING THE EXTRACT BUTTON IN GT4DVD5 RIPPER TOOL V 1.02 THE FILES EXTRACTED IN FILE INTO THE DIRECTORY.THE PROBLEM IS IN THE REBUILD BUTTON.WHEN THE TOOL REBUILT THE FILES LEAVE OUTSIDE SOME VERY IMPORTANT FILES LIKE START GAME PSS AND THE GAME DOES NOT START OR STUCK IN FIRST SCREEN.SO I FIND THIS WAY TO REBUILT THE GT4L1.VOL.I FOLLOW THE STEP OF THE OFFICIAL TUTORIAL AND AFTER EXTRACT THE GT4L1.VOL WITH GT4 DVD 5 RIPPER TOOL V 1.02 IN THE EXTRACTED FOLDER I DELETE THE SUGGESTION 21 FILES.DONT !!! DONT PUSH THE REBUILDING BUTTON.CLOSE THE GT4 DVD5 RIPPER TOOL V 1.02 AND OPEN THE GT4 DVD 5 RIPPER TOOL BUT THIS TIME USE THE VERSION V 1.01.PUSH THE RIP BUTTON.IN ERROR SCREENS CLICK OK,THE TOOL WORKS AND BUILD THE NEW GT4L1.VOL.AT THE END ERROR SCREEN SHOW UP AGAIN BUT THE NEW GT4L1.VOL WAS CREATED IN YOUR DIRECTORY.DELETE THE OLD GT4L1.VOL AND THE EXTRACTED FOLDER AND THATS IT ... FOLLOW THE NEXT STEPS WITH CDDVD GEN (I USE THE VERSION 2) CREATE IML FILE WITH EXPORT BUTTON LEAVE OPEN THIS PROGRAM MINIMIZE THAT AND OPEN THE GDVD iml2iso tool V@4.01 TO CREATE THE ISO FROM THE IML FILE.WHEN THIS DONE CLOSE ALL OPEN PROGRAMS AND FINALY BURN THE ISO WITH DVD DECRUPTER......OK ENJOY THE GAME,IN MY PS2 PLAYS FINE.THE FINALY ISO IS ABOUT 4.64 GB.KEEP IN TOUCH FOR THE BETTER FUTURE KOSTAS21 GREECE.

Do you know if i can do this using Mac? I have this facility at work, so i want backup my GT4, but im using Mac. Can you suggest me any similar program for Mac to rebuild this game?

I'm not an expert with Swap Magic, since we have a mod chip. I'll try my best though :D
1. Run DVD Decrypter (if you have the .iso, which i presume you have, then thats okay )
2. Select Mode ---> Iso ---> Write,
3. Start burning.
4. Once it's finished, then put in swap magic... do whatever you do with it, then put in the game... and it should work..
Important point - the extracted .iso (the real version) will be over 4.7GB. There is a guide located at the start of this section telling you how to make it, so that you can fit it on a normal 4.7 disc, so that you don't have to buy a dual layer burner, discs etc..
