Guys, I need to backup the Euro Multi Map 2005 for my Alpine GPS N099P, but only got a few toasters.
As the original DVD has more than 6.0GB,I tried to make a DVD copy with Nero 7.0, using a DVD-R DL.
Don't know also how to scan the original to see if it is protected...
Any help?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Have you tried DVD Decrypter and shrink?

Yes, I tried DVD Decrypter, but as it's not a DVD movie, it returns an error and can't copy it. With shrink I didn't try yet.
One thing I am curious about is how can I find what type of protection this DVD has?
Thanks

Are you sure its a DVD? Could it be a CD inwhich case I would try clone CD available at www.slysoft.com . If it truely is a DVD it should be able to be copied with usually software.

Update:
Indeed it's a DVD. It has more than 6.0 GBytes on it.
I tried with DVD Decrypter, did an ISO copy and I burn it with with the same soft. The GPS tried to read the DVD but after a few moments said to change the DVD ...
I don't know if this DVD has some protections on it and how can I pass them ;-)
Thanks

Guys, I found a tool "DVD Identifier" and scan the original DVD and got an info saying that it could be a "Blue Ray" thing.
Could it be right? Blue Ray? If so, I can't backup it...
Does someone know any kind of tools to see what type of DAV I have?
I'll try too with Alcohol. Just need to get a copy of it.
Thanks
