Hey everyone, you know we all have these compatibility issues between differnet software.

All these different formats/software basically are burning dvd compliant data (I believe)

So what makes different software produce different results, is it the initialisation of the dvd which is unique to THAT particular software or is it something else?

I have never found an informative explanation on WHY the different software produces different results.

Is it because we don't know and just move onto something that ACTUALLY works.
I know I have, but would be interested in WHY they don't.

Example: nero, difference between udf and udf/iso? (no - just add the iso)
Or what sort of format is ' an image burn ' in dvd decrypter?

ALL gurus, software designers and smart alecs to apply.

As you can see, I am none of the above LOL:-)

C'mon guys and gals.

Has anyone got any suggestions at all?

We all use this forum to solve these issues, someone must have suggestion, may not be right but any suggestion would be nice.

Or should you think my initial post did not make sense let me know.

Thanks again.

Well memcco, if u do not want to type then I suggest u do not respond to this thread or any others for that matter!!!!

Maybe a suitable response maybe in the firmware of the standalone may cause the problem.

When I wrote 'ALL gurus, software designers and smart alecs to apply.

This was no means meant as sarcastic or anything else for that matter.

I have read countless books inc dvd demystified and dvd for dummies etc, however they talk about dvd players and standards etc.

NOT BURNING SOFTWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also do u think informative forums such as this fit in the RESEARCH catergory, because I do aswell as all the other members and users.
