Hello it's my first time here... I'm facing a problem and I dont understand what happened I have a LG GSA-4163B DVD Burner in which the DVD-R burning speeds can go up to 16x...

I used to burn at 8x most the times, but suddenly I can't seem to burn higher than 2x ! In the box where you choose the speed you want to burn your dvd there's just the 2x option... I have the Nero Burning ROM version 6.6.0.12

any help in how to solve this i would appreciate since it's very frustrating burning dvd's at 2x speed !

I've already updated to the last firmware a105...

Update your Nero to 6.6.0.18 and see if that will help you out. You are a couple of versions behind.

In addition to what 9mmruger1 stated try http://www.burstcopy.com/dma/xp/ as your dvd burner may be in pio mode.
