Has anyone done a PS1 game to DVD?

I asked the question earlier about putting multiple PS1 games onto a DVD but doesn't look like I can do it. Because my older PS2 that the kids use (i have 2 of them, an old style plus a slimline) won't play CD based games since being modded it can't play any PS1 games at all. Is it at all possible to rebuild a PS1 game onto a DVD disk?
