Best media for burning PS2 Games

I Know this has been asked before but every thread I read doesnt seem to come up with a conclusive answer.

At the moment I am using Verbatim 16x DVD's because I read they were good. I havent really had any problems with them but sometimes the loading times on the backups can be a tad slow.

So are these the best to use or are there any others anyone recomends?

Verbatim are very good. The only thing is that you might want to go with 8X. Some people have troubles with the 16X. Otherwise, you could also try Taiyo Yuden, Sony or TDK.

I use Taiyo Yuden and burn at 4x and I allways have great backup's.

I have read the comments on the best dvds to use for ps2 game burning but I am having trouble with slow loading also. I am using DVD+R 8x from staples along with Alcohol 120%. I have been using the same discs and program for my 150 games and it hasn't been since the last 10 or so that the trouble has arised. NFS Most Wanted is the worst it loads in the middle of the race so thats unplayable mostly its the beginning videos of each game. Should I lower the burning speed or change discs to DVD-R 8x or get a new burner? Did they add a new type of security to them? Or, maybe my box needs a fresh install but I did that about a month ago. Please help me ALMIGHTY AFTERDAWN READERS, I MISS MY NEW GAMES :( !! -TheFink-
