unable to load my backup " call of duty": big red one it shows a 2 on the lower right corner of screen thats all. using swap magic plus 3, need help.

How did you burn it? What media? What program? What speed? etc. I burned it with Nero at 2x with RiData media and it works fine with my Swap Magic 3.6.

I burnt it with DVD Decrypter and use ridata at 4x and 2x still does not load i have backup other games and did work fine

I don't know how to help you, are you sure the media or the original isn't scratched up? Maybe you're multitasking on the computer while burning (which isn't good)?

What media code is the ridata? and max supported speed?

Is this a downloaded iso file? or from an original disc?

Give as much info as you can, it'll speed up the process of helping you figure out where the problem is.

ya, it sounds like everyone is having this problem.

I burned COD-2 with duo chip and taiyo yudens at 4 and 2x's and made 2 coasters. I get the spinning 2. Whats funny is that this happened with COD-1 until I burned it with a memorex DVD and it works fine!

Anyone know if renting COD-2 and burning it that way rather than DL off internet makes it work?

Even funnier is that the German version works flawlessly!

My PAL version works flawlessly with swap magic 3.6... and tokijin has confirmed that the game works well with modchip too, but don't know if his was PAL ot NTSC version.

@solokid - just use some good quality upto 8x certified media.. and burn it at 4x using DVD Decrypter.

Yeah COD Big Red One plays perfectly with my Matrix Infinity. Strange game. I know Paddymail know's a lot of people with modchips who have had problems with this game. I rented it and copied it. So maybe the iso that was uploaded is the problem. Try acquiring an original copy and backing it up. My version is the NTSC version. I ripped it with DVD Decrypter and burned it to TYG02 (8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's) at 4x.

Yeah, as tokijin said - there are one or 2 uploads out there that aren't good... and there have been 2 or 3 people on this site that I helped burn the disc from a torrent and then they found out it was the german language version, they just saw PAL and assumed it was english I guess.
I NEVER use torrents, I might have a go in the future sometime... but for now I leave them alone and backup original versions of games and never have any problems with languages,video incompatability etc.

It is HIGHLY recommended thast you use high quality media to burn your backups with.... and you guys might want to check your firmware is up to date too as that can make a big difference between a good burn and a coaster in some cases.
