Does anyone know if there is a software to make it work an emulated securom protected DVD over a networked share?
I mean, if you now how Paragon's CD-ROM emulator network version works, if there is any piece of software that permits to store the image of the DVD into a server, share it on the LAN, and use it in a virtual drive on a client.
It should be possible to do it as far as the image can be replicated on the hard disk but I experienced that Alcohol 120% and Daemon-Tools 4.00 have difficulties to operate this way: when they both operate on a local image, this one can be inserted into the virtual local DVD and it works.
If the image is on a network share and it is loaded into a local virtual DVD, the protection senses the emulation software and does not work.
I can't guess if this behaviour depends on Alcohol 120% or on Daemon-Tools or both. Possibly one of the two needs to be replaced with something that is natively designed to work on a LAN.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time.
