WHat are the pros and cons (if any) by rebuilding games that do not need to be rebuilt?

Coz i got gnies rebuild tool and ive been rebuilding all my games thru that b4 burning the actual backup.

And how does gnies tool stack up against manual rebuilding using apache2 etc, cd/dvd gen...etc?

Well, one of the cons of rebuilding a game that doesn't need it is obviously that it'll take longer to make your backup.

But, as long as it works for you.. that's all that matters :)

Well, you just answered your own question...

It takes longer to rebuild the games using apache2/cdvdgen etc than gnies rebuild tool... other than that I don't think there's much difference between them. I've never had a game that I couldn't rebuild with cd dvd gen... but then again out of the 150+ games I've made backups of, I've rebuilt maybe 10-15 games.

sorry for the confusion.. i meant are there any other pros or cons about rebuilding games that do not need to be rebuilt.

And Even tho gnies tool rebuilds in a flash, im after quality rather than how long the process takes. Quality wise, how does gnies tool stack up against the manual way of rebuilding using apache2,cd/dvd gen etc?

I'll give it a try and test against one of my older rebuilds like mercenaries or something... but i don't think you'll see any difference in quality between the 2 ways... all you're doing when rebuilding really is removing dud space and any extra files that could be making the iso too big to work with swap magic.
It's just that gnies tool makes it easier for you to do this than manually doing it with cd dvd gen etc.

probably someone else will have a different view to mine.. but that's ok, i'm not an expert and don't claim to be.. I just know what works for me :)
