I tried to installing the Fip Top again and it just doesn't fit. The Eject-Reset button just doesn't fit in the harness. I have a version 7 with the stupid eject-Reset ribbon in the way! When I put the top on the side with the eject-reset buttom doesn't line up with the bottom cover. I was tempted to cut the plastic so the it could look like the original
When the Flip Top is on the Eject-Reset ribbon shows in the disc Tray and when I try to hide it; it gets damaged. The Disc tray dosen't close. It gets stuck! Could Anyone help!
what do you mean the eject button doesnt fit. You mean it wont fit in the holes of the new lid. Thats just silly. As for the power ribbon, you need to tape that down to the inside of the playstation, just next to and below the tray. Ive just recently put on a full see-thru blue case top and bottom, its awesome.

Yes!! I have a version 7 PS2. The lid doesn't fit! I order a Version v4-v8 Lid.
Yes! It is silly! Funny as H*ll! I almost laughed to insanity!! Tape the ribbon down to the PS2? Where??? I did that and the Flip Top still manage to damage the ribbon. I tape it down on the side of the Drive so firmly, "like a fly smashed to a wall" and the Darn Top still mamage to screw it up!!! You did a good thing! You bought both top and bottom... Very safe.
I have a version 9, my Flip Top installation was as easy as taking a puff. I helped my little nephew installed his version 4 and it's pretty simple as well. Don't screw them screws too tight or you're going to have a tough time getting the eject button loads properly.

What? ...... oh, I'm sorry. I zoned out after seeing that picture of that asian girl. Anyway, When I put the top on it wouldn't line up properly with the bottom cover. You said you installed one for the version 4? Did you have to cut any plastic holders or harness off? I think I just got mine from a bogus site.
No, we didn't cut anything at all. Why? Did you mean that little white holder on the backside of the eject button? You're not suppost to cut anything. You need to remove them carefully and place it back where it belongs. Again, when you put the Flip Top cover on, don't screw them screws too tight because it won't load properly.
