swap magic 3.6 backup and use cant get it to work

hi
trying to backup manhunt with clone cd it recognised it was dvd and seemed to copy ok ,also tried chronicles of narnia downloaded iso file and burnt with dvd decryptor
put swap disc 3.6 dvd in it said load program so used slide tool and swapped disc for copied manhunt & chron of narania disc used slide disc again to close daw and it just says invalid ps2 disc
done psone games before but completely new to the swap magic and backing up ps2 any one with experience give me some guidance please does this disc really work with ps2 backup games

Yes, it works very well with PS2 games. Let's start at the top: what type of media are you using? +R or -R? What speed did you burn the game at?
Also, have you updated your drive's firmware? If not, check out the link in my sig to see if there is a newer version.

thanx for the reply using verbatim 16x dvd-r burnt tried at 1 speed last time, my playstation is 50003 model burnt with dvd decryptor clone and nero all at no more than 2 speed my drive is a nec dvd nd-2500a.not sure about which firmware update to use for this drive went to this page but lots of options http://tdb.rpc1.org/#ND2500A any ideas for best update using windows xp

done this now:-
updated firmware from 1.06 to 1.07 still getting load program screen using slide tool swapping disc using slide tool again to close press x button and getting not valid ps2 disc message any ideas please!

Do you have a Flip Top cover? Did you put your backup via the Flip Top and covered it, then press X? Or did you press the "eject" button and inserted your backup into your PS2 console? Chances are if you inserted your backup copy via "press eject" button, then it won't work.

i have slide disc ,i put swap magic in when it says load program i use the slide disc to open then insert the cpied game push draw closed then use slide disc hook to pull the draw proper closed press X the disc appears to spin then get message invalid ps 2 disc the ps2 is 50003 model ,burnt on verbatim 4.7 dvd-r at 1 speed with dvd decrypter
just tried burning and verifying the disc with dvd decrypter the verfiy gives an error at 1 percent its interpretation err0 read(10)-sector : 40816 should this happen because its a protected disc?? or should you be able to verify the disc??

What version is your PS2 console? Sometimes your PS2 may be picky about the media you're using and it will not play. Out of curiosity, have your PS2 console and Slide Card ever worked with other PS2 backups before?

right solved it thanks to the help found some old grade A dvd -r discs 4x write speed DVD Decrypter and yahoooooooooo it works
