What's PTP?

Parallel Track Path as opposed to OTP which is Opposite Track Path.

a PTP has both layers starting at the center of the disk and working their way outward. OTP has the first layer starting at the center of the disk and working outward, the second layer starts at the outer part and works its way in.

pop the disk into your drive, start DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn and allow it to reconize the disk, on the right side of the program box scroll down and you'll see:

I wasn't saying you were wrong.. I just never took any notice before to be honest and have only had GT4 and GOW on DVD-9.
But thanks for the info anyway :)

WinRAR is top of the line IME for a compressed archive tool, you can select the level of compression but the deeper the compression the more horsepower it takes from the PC to archive it and unpack it.

@xenoph, have you tried using Blindwrite or Alcohol to read layer #2 of the DVD9? There are several programs you might want to try, maybe Clone CD or something else?

Just about everything DVD can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD As usual, a free resource contains better info than Encarta, Britannica or the other pay for encyclopedias.

if you're a college student, do NOT settle with the RIAA http://tinyurl.com/37oz2z
