I'm using a
AMD AthalonXP 1800+ and 1.5GIG RAM. I'm thing of buying the AthalonXP 3000+ CPU does any one know what the time difference would be converting a 350MB xvid to dvd using TMPGENC 3.0 XPRESS and TMPGENC DVD Author at the moment it takes about 3.5 hours for the first part with xpress then 30 min for the second part with Author then about 1.5 hours with shrink to burn it.
