You need to explain your problem properly... what doesn't work?
Do you mean that you used iso read to get the iso onto your hard disc and then went to iso write mode and burned the disc, but the disc doesn't load?
Or do you mean that the disc wouldn't read to get the iso?
or what?
Also, you need to say what boot method you have for playing your games, eg modchip or swapmagic 3.6 with replacement fliptop or magic keys or whatever?
Quote: hi when i go to back-up call of duty 2 big red one using DVD Decrypter it doesn't work how can i fix this problem
is not sufficient to explain your problem.
Explain the problem properly and you might get some answers

Sorry can't help you there.. I don't use hdadvance. If you haven't already, try posting in the ps2 software boot discussion.

yes, provide more info, a lot of people seem to be having
a problem with this game for PS2
I know a friend of mine made a copy and it would go to the loading screen where there is a 2 spinning in the lower right corner,
then it would stop spinning and freeze there.
He told me that he did get it to work once, but has not since then.
So tell us the problem, and be more specific then "it doesn't work"
tell us what you use to load your back ups (swap magic & fliptop, modchip)
tell us the media that you used (brand & speed)
what speed you burned it at
i agree with Paddymail 100%, i really get tired of asking people
for more information.
how do you expect to get help when all you have provided was
"my game won't work, how can i fix it"

Thanks steimy, I don't mind helping people out most of the time even for a simple answer that they could find on their own maybe by searching.. but this question was ludicrous, LOL... it's like saying " I've got a Car and when I drive it I get a noise, what's the problem? "

Change Mode Settings. That's what happened to me too when i first tried it. If you're using HD advance. I'll check the mode settings and let you know what to change. Let me know.

Hi Guys, thought id ask this here instead of opening a new thread. I just backed up COD2-Big Red One from an original and patched up the Dnas.img file using the code from the original disk (which i obtained using Disc Id Utility). However, the game works fine but when i try and go online, i get a "Dnas Authentication error -864". I used the originals Code so this should not be happening. Im confused, Plz Help !!

The original disc that you got, is it the same region as your ps2? like if you have an NTSC ps2, is it an NTSC game?

The only thing I can think of is that it wasn't patched correctly then... I don't patch mine for online play so can't help you there.
post a new thread with this problem and more people will be able to see it rather than on the end of someone else's thread.
Also, did you try searching for something like "dnas error 864" and variables of it too?
good luck with it

I don't patch for online games either, but just out of curiosity, are you using a mod chip in your PS2? If so, they have to be turned off when going online.

Thanks Paddymail and Jamaal. I am using Swap Magic 3.6. anyway ive sorted the problem now. I took the originals Id using Disc Id Utility and patched the DNAS.img file in the .Iso file i created. It was patched correctly paddymail but did not work. This was strange as the originals ID should work. I read somewhere on the forums that the Code XX-XX-00-40-FC worked for someone for COD2. So i tried this code and patched my Dnas.img file in the .MDS file instead of the .ISO file and bingo, it worked. Thanks for all your help
