As a Newbie I have read lots and lots of posts and cannot find the answer to my problem.

I have a slim PS2, using Swap Magic Ver 3.6, Sony DVD+R, Alcohol 120%, burning at 2x and various games have written OK but occasionally they will not load or will hang up after a couple of levels or the sound is not in sync with the game. Any ideas?

First of all, you'll need to rebuild the game(s) if it's a DVD9. Secondly, make sure your firmware is up-to-date so it can write accurately into the blank media. Third, what application/program did you used to burn? Fourth, just because it's a Sony DVD+R media, it doesn't guarantee to have a working backup. A good rule of thumb is to make sure your SONY DVD+R is "Made In Japan". If it's not "Made In Japan", then I wouldn't even want to waste a single penny on them.
