I wanted to know which is better a celeron d 3.06 ghz or a sempron 2400 1.667 ghz. And how much better is the better processor. Thanks in advance.

you cant really compare them since one is twice as powerfull as the other. comparing the sempron 2400 to a 2.4 celeron is a more fair and in that case the sempron would be better. youd need a sempron 3000 to compare with that celeron

An AMD Sempron 3000 means it is equivalent to a 3.0 Gigahertz Intel based processor. Technically, the Celeron is a little faster, but if you're buying a cpu for games, DO NOT get the Celeron no matter how fast it is because they are not made for games. The AMD Sempron 3000 will do a way better job when it comes down to 3D applications.
