is it possible to use a burned/downloaded version of swap magic 3.6 (DVD)

i believe that they are pressed and cant be burned. At leaste that was the case with my 2.0 sm. If u think about it how would sm make $$ selling it if it could be burned. Hope that helps

$30 Isn't all that expensive for two disc that boots backups that blinds the ps2 so it can't verify that they burns. Well you could burn and use them if you had a modchip..

Can't be copied. They are specially made with errors on the disk, which no CD or DVD burner that the public can buy is able to recreate. All burners on the market actually repair the errors, therefore rendering any copies useless. If you look at the underside of the discs they have multiple rings.

The only reason you would download Swap Magic is if you had an older version of the same software (legit) and you could use your old bought version of SM to boot your PS2 and then you could load the downloaded updated version of SM on to your PS2 from there. Seems like a lot of hassle though meaning you would have to loads 3 discs everytime to play a backup. Dont download unless you can press your own PS2 discs. Dont think for one second that you might be able to bcoz I know you cant. Just buy the new version of SM if u want it or go on your merry way.
