Hey all,
I bought King Kong today and tried to back it up on Verbatim (digital movie dvd + r's) and when i put it in the swap magic 3.6 version, it comes up but the screen is JUMPY. Any reason and ideas on how to fix this problem??

hmm is the game PAL,cause normaly u would get jumpy screen(black and white) with PAL games that aint patched,

I put it on the PAL setting and did a special and normal boot - still jump black and white screen.

u have to patch the game,PAL to ntsc

im going to RRRRR some games over the weekend
Gun, raw vs smackdown 2006,The 50 cent game,and prob the path of neo, you think these games will be easy to Burn and work with DVDDecrypter?

I suggest you need to edit (or rephrase the word Rent) into a better sentence, like; I'm going to try to burn/backup some games over the weekend. Do it before a Mod see it.

It's ok... I'm here to help and learn as well. I'm just telling you to "EDIT" the word only. Obviously, the Mods don't want anybody to talk about piracy, it's against this lovely AfterDawn's rule.
Again, you still need to EDIT and rephrase it.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Anyways I don't think you'd have any issues ripping any of those games you mentioned. WWE vs. Smackdown 2006 has a dummy file in the PAC folder. You'd need to rebuild it and overwrite the dummy file to get it to work with Swap Magic. Matrix Path of Neo has caused people problems, but mainly with the downloaded version. If your backing up an original, you'd be fine. 50 cent Bulletproof is DVD-9 or dual layer, but it's easy to rebuild. If you have a modchip, these games won't need rebuilt, if you have Swap Magic Smackdown vs. Raw and 50 cent will.
10. Q. What does rebuilding an iso mean?
A. It means that some games 4.36-4.38GB's may need rebuilt to work with Swap Magic. Games over 4.38GB's will need rebuilt. This isn't true for ALL games over 4.38GB's and differs on a game to game basis. There is no need to rebuild games if you have a modchip.

Download it and then follow these instrcutions and it will work.
1. select Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins list.
2. Select the iso.
3. Click extract LBA
4. Click extract file
5. Click rebuild file
6. Click rebuild lba.
Make sure you do it in that order.
This worked for me when every other way failed.
It is very easy to do so even the noobies should be able to do it.
Keep in mind im backing up the PAL version, but if your having trouble backing up with NTSC then i dont see a problem trying.

49. Q. I'm rebuilding game X, I'm concerned it has dummy files. How do I identify the dummy files?
A. From Hursty: When you see the iso has dummy files.i.e 00DUMMY. 01DUMMY. GARBAGE ETC, you need to get rid of them, by replacing them with a file. So on the desktop, right click the mouse, select "new" > text document and rename it as it appears in isobuster, then click enter. Then open the text document on the desktop, hit space once, then save, this will create a text document with 1 byte in it, Do this for all the dummy files you have, as some games have more than one.

Hey thx for the help!
no im not planning to download any games, im just going to get the original and back them up , but i have DVDDecrypter, so far i copied just one game and it worked fine, so im going to use this program with raw vs smackdown 2006 and path of neo.
But do you know where i could get the trial Version of Swap magic or the real thing without paying for it?? i heard only good things about it.

if you have a decent mod chip then don't worry about Swap Magic
It is a boot disc that is used by people who don't have a mod
chip, that and one other small modification and you can load
back ups.
