A few things
1. you have to have a modded PS2 to play any back ups
2. you have to burn them to good quality DVD's
all the info you need are in these forums so all you need to
do is search. You will have to read quite a few pages to get
most of the info you need, but i assure you it is there.
But you can burn back ups of games fairly easy and the program
to do it is free.

You need either a hard mod (a modchip) or a softmod (SwapMagic v3.0-3.6). You use DVD Decrypter to burn the DVD on quality media at the lowest speed. Nero and other programs...again go with the slowest speed your burner & media supoprt. Make sure no programs (anti-virus, etc.) are running or active. Don't try to go online, play games, etc. while it's burning...keep it as the only running program. If you have a v12-v15 slimline, u will need either a fliptop, the magic tools/magic keys, or the tape & tissue mod to fool the sensors. With v10 or lower, use a slidecard with the SwapMagic or modchip. Look in my sig for the v12+ PS2 fix..the pictures are easy to understand. Good luck on it.

if you're a college student, do NOT settle with the RIAA http://tinyurl.com/37oz2z
