Hi, i just downloaded a film and only got speeds on average of 60 kb/s and i have a 1.65mb broadband dsl internet connection. The film also had a lot of seeds. I have read about people with connection speeds less than mine being able to gain 115 kb/s speeds. I was just wandering how i could be able to do that. I have put the global max upload speed to 20 kb/s but still no change. Can someone please help me? Thanks. P.S. Can someone tell me why we have to upload the film and what uploading it is? Thanks.

If ur D/L from a private tracker u need to change Bt clients as they are banning bitlord and bitcomet ect... I suggest using either utorrent or Azureus.
No sig for u!.

Please read the Bitcomet/bitlord guide in my signature and follow every step. As you can also see in my signature, my guide works, just look at the speed ;)
Uploading is not required for public trackers but it is for private trackers. Uploading is what allows people to be able to download because if people dont share then no one will be able to get anything.
Good luck!

I would choose Bitcomet or Utorrent simply because Azareus is a huge resource hog.
Good luck!

^^^agreed^^^
As for re starting ur other, partially done torrents in a new client. I've never tried this but it might work. (if using utorrent) go to file then add torrent, point to where ur partially done file is and see if it resumes.
I would really like to know if this works, but I don't think its that easy ;-D
No sig for u!.

wait, wait a second. Bitlord isn't working anymore. Mine is. What's wrong with it. And particularly, I don't like utorrent because it doesn't download for me. It always says that i haven't got enough space on my hardrive when i download but I do! That's why i switched to bitlord, because i can download. By the way, is it true that if you download in the evening there's more chances of your tracker returning more peers?

I dont believe that is true, it may be true for speeds because some ISPs allow full bandwith after 1 or 2 am.
PS: Switch to Bitcomet, bitlord is full of spyware.

Okay so maybe it is just my bitlord that is not working, I Agree that utorrent is not that great it wouldn't let me download either.
