Hello all. New to the forums, hope to get some advice.

I burn data dvds (tdk 8X +R) with roxio. The firmware for my drive is up to date. Burning process completes with no problems. In the past I was able to copy data back to the pc with no problems.

Recently, I've been getting CRC errors when trying to copy my newer backup discs. If I try a couple times, sometimes it works, but is a headache. If I put the same discs in my laptop, it has no problem copying and does not stop with CRC erros. Seems like my desktop one is going bad. Do I need a new burner?

CDs pose no problems, just the dvds.
