I think I?m having a NAT/Firewire Router problem. Here are my specs- I'm OS 10.3.9 and I'm using an Actiontec 1524-SU router. I?m using Azereus but I?m very new to dealing with torrent files. When I start downloading a torrent file it stalls all internet connections from the router to all computers in the house- meaning, my internet stops working along with any other people connected in the house. We have to quit Azereus and restart the router/modem to get it to work again. I thought this was a problem with the router and I was dealing with NAT/Firewall issues. So I selected port 49260, made sure that in my system preferences 'sharing' folder, that 49260 port was enabled. Then I went and manually configured my router. I noticed it has a NAT setting and it was set to on, so I left it like that and I tried to set up a port forward for 49260 with my set IP address, although I think my router may be set to a dynamic not static ID address setting- which one should it be?. So I set the port forwarding but this did not solve the problem of making everyone loose internet connection. The only thing it seemed to do was change a port-scan test on 49260 to say closed instead of stealth (no good at all) And it made it so when my roommate got on the internet, I no longer had a connection at all, even if I turned Azereus off. So there are two things going on here and I'm assuming they are related. That the port I set up 49260 isn?t open to downloading/uploading and whenever I try to download it stops all internet connections. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the router or my firewall settings, any ideas? Thanks?

How fast is ur internet connection?. And u have three pc's using this same connection on one router?. Make sure to set ur router to use a static ip, pick ur port range and forward them correctly through router and firewall(s). I would also suggest using utorrent as it is much smaller than azureus and may be easier on ur resources.

btw if u didnt know, if ur doing a nat test from GLC u need it to say open not stealth ;-D

No sig for u!.
