Ok i got a problem with a copied game .
I burned it with a DVD Decrypter at 2X speed on a sony dvd+.
The game boots up from swap magic 3.6 pro and when i enter first
dungeon and aproach some alma stone ( stone to rebuild towns )
It hangs up , music plays , console tryies to read and ... oops nothing . I tried rebuilding it by taking all files form image to disk with isobuster and then creating a new image with magiciso 1.5 but when i burn it swap says invalid ps2 game :( . There is also a file on the dvd called DMMY. and it doesnt have any extension. So i wondered is this a dummy file or something .But wouldt it just not boot with that file ? I did not remove it at first but the game hangs up as i said . So if anyone has any idea , SHARE IT . THX in advence .

wow, that's not good. you only posted this a few hours ago. have some patience, this is one helluva busy website, there's i think on average 3000+ ppl online at any one time, someone will pop by if you can be bothered to wait awhile. you could even search the existing threads while you're waiting, you might even find some clues that wither help you, or help others to help you. ya know ?

This will help with the dummy file: From Tokijin's Quick Links thread
Quote:
49. Q. I'm rebuilding game X, I'm concerned it has dummy files. How do I identify the dummy files?
A. From Hursty: When you see the iso has dummy files.i.e 00DUMMY. 01DUMMY. GARBAGE ETC, you need to get rid of them, by replacing them with a file. So on the desktop, right click the mouse, select "new" > text document and rename it as it appears in isobuster, then click enter. Then open the text document on the desktop, hit space once, then save, this will create a text document with 1 byte in it, Do this for all the dummy files you have, as some games have more than one.
Also, you said that you burnt it at 2X. What is the actual speed of the DVD's that you are using? If it's 8X, try burning it at 4X.

You could also try cleaning your laser with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to see if that will help.

Yeah be patient. Jamaal knows what he's talking about. This is a huge site, few threads go unanswered.
