Hi.

Have been through all the threads but cant really find a definate answer to my question so here goes:-

I have been using mediaface to print labels on to my backups and decided to get an epson r220 printer and print directly onto the discs.

When looking at media for it I looked here first and after hearing good reviews on ritek extreme g05's I purchased some and found all my game backups would not work but the movies were fine.

Then I tried vebatim and found the games were fine but the discs would not play movie backups.

I use to use infinity dvd-r's and the movies and games were great. But after purchasing some printable infinity discs I seem to be having burning issues with these aswell (games are burned at 4x and films using DVD FAB,The drive is Sony DVD RW DW-D26A).

I have been looking over threads and have noticed that a lot of people use Taiyo Yuden DVD-R, there has been a lot of good reviews concerning PS2 games with these discs but are they any good with movie back-ups.As they are quite expensive and I dont really want to take the chance if they wont work well with both.

Thanks.

Taiyo Yudens work very well with both movies and games. That is what I am using right now. Haven't had a coaster yet!

As far as price, they're not that bad. Here are a couple links: http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-dvd-r-media.html

If you're using labels on your discs, then that's half the problem there... I heard that it's not good to have labels on your discs and can cause problems with playback.
Burn a few discs and play them back in your ps2 and dvd player without labels on and see how you go... both the brands of discs you mentioned work fine for most people.
