I have been having problems lately with Nero reporting 'failed to write end of disc-at-once' when trying to burn. This has been driving me nuts, as at least 1 in 2 DVD's was not burning.

I then stumbled across CopyToDVD (a demo of which can be downloaded from www.copytocd.com) and I have not yet had a DVD fail to burn! It is also really easy to burn to DVD-Video - No 'ISO/UDF Paritioning' to set, just select 'File --> Write DVD-Video' and away you go!

You still use DVD Decrypter & DVD2One (or your chosen compression tools) and then use CopyToDVD just to burn it. It takes around 1hr30mins to create a 'cached files' and to burn it, but as I said, no coasters yet!

Even if you dont like it, it must be worth a look :-). Ler us know what you think.

sure, Nero is quicker, but with the problems I've been having with Nero failing to burn properly, surely this is something else to consider?

lo, I had probs with Nero in the past, version 5.5.10.7. In the end i deleted it and downloaded version 5.5.10.7b

the new version of the prog worked fine. I ain't updated it since.

If it ain't broke , don't try to fix it....or is that update it?

hope it's of use, there are plenty of burning wares out there , but in my experience, Nero 's been one of the better ones

boyracer,

www.ahead.com for nero updates.

However be careful because the new updates now check to see if you have a valid serial no. if you don't you will only get the update in demo mode.

I know cos I found my serial no. was invalid and contacted ahead they said my version was likely to have come from an unauthorised source, I binned it then and purchased recordnowmax from orlogix.com, no problems with this and better than nero in my opinion.

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down
